Tescos car insurance is one of the various financial offerings available through Tesco Bank in the UK.
Tescos has been around for decades, and if you happen to read some of their reviews, it appears that they've been delivering fairly good customer service to their customers during this time.
Admittedly, there are some reviews that are pretty scathing, too, so sometimes it is difficult to get a realistic evaluation of a company if you haven't used them yourself.
Have you ever been an auto insurance customer with Tesco? We'd love to have you share your own experience with us. It will be great to have our own collection of honest Tesco reviews from real customers.
Of course, there are options when it comes to UK car insurance. You know you have to have the basics - Third Party coverage.
But, if you've invested any decent amount of money in your own vehicle, you want to protect it with Third Party Fire and Theft, and Fully Comprehensive, too.
As far as Tescos car insurance is concerned, they offer two different types of comprehensive coverage - Standard and Value.
They do offer a 10% discount if you have a Clubcard, so that's one way to get a little extra savings on your premiums.
I will caution you about one particular common theme that I've read as I've investigated Tescos auto insurance and that is that they often provide cheaper or competitive rates to their new customers - but they don't last!
Surprise, surprise! Apparently, they are known for significantly increasing your UK car insurance rates upon renewal of your policy, even if you've had no issues like claims or traffic violations, etc.
You would think that the opposite would be true, but it sounds like that's not the case with this particular company. :(
Something else you should realize about Tesco car insurance is that Tesco Bank isn't the actual insurance company. The policies they offer are underwritten by various auto insurance companies like Aviva, Chaucer, Sabre, Covea, and RAC, to name a few.
This isn't an uncommon practice, but it is something that you should know as a consumer. You may end up having to deal with one of those companies in the end, should you have to make a claim.
My suggestion to you is to definitely consider Tesco Bank for your auto insurance, but also shop around a bit and compare UK car insurance quotes before making your final decision.
Best of luck!
