Being a member of a good RV Roadside Assistance Club can be a real lifesaver when you're traveling on your latest adventure.
There's
nothing more frustrating than to be on your way to visit family,
friends, or one of God's most beautiful attractions in nature and to
find yourself with RV trouble.
Doesn't matter if it's a dead
battery, a flat tire, or something a little more serious like (in our
case) a blown out tire that resulted in snapping a brake line when a
piece of the rubber flew under our motorhome and put us out of
commission for a while.
It's almost inevitable that when you make the decision to take to the
road, the unexpected can and will happen to test your patience and your
good humor.
Even if you keep your RV in the best possible
repair, you can't guarantee that something else on the road might not
end up throwing up a problem.
How can you prepare for the inevitable but unexpected events when you are on the road? Become a member of a reliable RV roadside Assistance club!
If
you're not familiar with how a roadside assistance club works, let me
explain. For a small annual fee (usually ranging from $75-$125 per
year), you become part of a membership club that is at your beck and
call 24/7 to assist you any time you have a traveling emergency.
These
are just some of the problems that RVers face on the road. A good RV
roadside assistance program solves all those problems for you, and more.
In my opinion, the best roadside assistance program for RV owners is the Good Sam Club with their long history of great service. I really like the idea of having a "good Samaritan" on call when I need one.
Another option for those over 55 is the roadside assistance club offered to those who are members of AARP.
AARP
runs their roadside assistance program through Allstate roadside
assistance, so if you're a member of AARP you may want to compare the
services and benefits to those of Good Sam to see which is best for you
and your situation.
If you travel, you NEED to be part of one
of the best roadside assistance programs. Trust me! That small fee
will be money well spent. Even if you only need to use it once per
year, you will definitely save money. You'll also have a lot of peace
of mind when you're on your next adventure.
