Progressive RV Insurance can be a life saver if you have troubles on your travels.
Be informed of your options. When it comes to insurance Progressive RV is worth considering.
Progressive RV Insurance covers RVs based on the size of the RV — the bigger the RV, the more coverage you can get.
This coverage includes vacation liability, full timer's emergency expense, bodily injury and property damage liability, uninsured/underinsured motorist, medical payments, comprehensive and collision, roadside assistance, emergency expense, replacement cost personal effects, vacation liability, Mexico physical damage, trailer, fire department service charge, full timer's package, deluxe package, and pet injury.
Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability covers you if you injure another person or his or her property.
This includes repair costs to damaged property, the other party's medical bills, their lost wages, or other damages for which you are responsible.
On the other hand, let's say you are injured in an accident and the other party can't cover your expenses. In this case, your uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance will cover both bodily and property damages that they do not.
Uninsured covers everything, while the underinsured part covers the part for which they do not have enough to pay. Similarly, the insurance Progressive RV has to offer for medical payments covers any medical attention you receive due to an accident, regardless of who is at fault.
Comprehensive and collision insurance Progressive RV offers pays for repairing or replacing your RV if it is stolen or damaged. It doesn’t matter who is at fault.
Based upon the deductible selected, Progressive RV Insurance pays the remaining portion after you meet your deductible.
Collision coverage pays for RV damage due to hitting cars, poles, or other inanimate objects. Comprehensive coverage pays for other damage, including fire, theft, hitting an animal, or if your RV is stolen.
You have three choices of coverage for comprehensive...
Along with this coverage, you will also get emergency expense coverage. This will cover you up to 50 miles away from home. If the RV is your home, then there are specific limits in your contract.
You will also get replacement cost for personal effects, which will pay for RV replacements or related equipment (travel tickets, cd players, radios, etc). Particular items outside the RV receive 25% of the coverage.
Also included with Comprehensive and Collision Damage is Mexico Physical Damage. This pays for incidents when traveling to Mexico.
Comprehensive and Collision Damage also pays $2,500 for Trailer insurance. For $17,500 more, you can be covered up to $20,000.
Fire Department Service Charge also is covered by Comprehensive and Collision insurance Progressive RV offers. This pays up to $1,000 in fire department charges.
Comprehensive and Collision coverage also will pay up to $500 for dog or cat veterinary bills. You certainly won't get that with traditional car insurance, now will you?
Vacation Liability covers up to $10,000 with the Full Timer’s comprehensive and collision coverage package. In addition, Vacation Liability will cover Bodily Injury and Property Damage. Full Timer’s coverage also includes up to $500,000 in Personal Liability, $50,00 in medical payments to others, up to $5,000 for assessment fees in losses, and $5,000 for a storage shed at the time of loss.
Roadside assistance supplies towing services to a repair shop. It covers labor and time at the place of the accident if the accident is due to mechanical/electrical breakdown; battery failure; not enough fuel, oil, water, etc.; flat tire; lockout; and getting stuck in snow, mud, water, or sand within 100 feet of the road. This Progressive RV insurance coverage also includes trailers and other vehicles towing trailers, provided that this other vehicle is also insured through Progressive.

Extra Tip: I always like to recommend that RVers check out the Good Sam VIP RV Insurance. They have a great program, and quite a few RVers I've met, swear by it.
