Customer Review of Hartford Insurance/AARP
We have had insurance with Hartford Insurance/AARP for 5 years, but not any more!
My wife had an accident last year (no fault). She was hit by a drunk driver (hit and run) and the driver had no license. Her car was totaled.
The premium for her car before the accident was approximately $600.00, and now the new premium they want is $1200.00. Because some underwriter or computer model says she might be in an accident in the future!
This escapes all human logic! After numerous calls I received no satisfaction. I will not and would not ever recommend this company to anyone in the future.
I have found a better rated company, with insurance premiums at a lower cost and would advise potential customers to be cautious about the Hartford Insurance/AARP company.
Yikes! That's really terrible Dontoigo! First of all, let me say that I hope your dear wife was not injured in that accident. It sounds like it had the makings of a potentially fatal crash.
I do hate when we get stories like yours where the obvious innocent victim is the one who ends up with the greatest loss, but not from the accident itself, but rather from the insurance companies involved!
It makes me want to scream at the top of my voice for justice!
I can't help but wonder what happened to the driver who was unlicensed and driving under the influence of alcohol. Did he or she get a slap on the wrist or face some real consequences?
Did they learn their lesson, or have they gone on to further reckless driving acts that have caused more pain and suffering for other innocent victims?
These are the unanswered questions that really make my blood boil and make me want to have more of a voice in the insurance world.
I wish you and your wife the best of health and happiness in the years ahead with no further negative experiences - with car accidents or car insurance companies!
