Geico Dishonest!!!!

Geico is completely dishonest!


I was traveling in my lane when a Geico insured hit me in my driver door trying to change lane. The driver accepted fault at the scene. When I filed a claim with Geico they want to pay only 30% for damages.


Also they advised me that it will take long for investigation could go 2 months.


They are playing with customers. I guess I need a lawyer to sue otherwise they see people like poppets.


I'm filing a claim with the state commissioner.
I have the worst ever experience with Geico insurance and telling everybody I know not to get it.

Hi Gyula,

So sorry to hear about your horrible experience with Geico. I have my own horror story with them. They definitely seem to do all within their power to avoid paying out on insurance claims against their clients. I don't know if they treat their own customers any better.


I hope you do file that claim with your state commissioner and that you may get some satisfaction.


Have you tried speaking to your own insurance company to see if they will fight your claim against Geico on your behalf? It's worth the try.

Impossible to contact NEW

I had Geico insurance for 7 years. I chose to end that relationship when I was shopping around for a new car. I was test driving vehicles. With each vehicle I test drove approximately 1 week, 4 different vehicles total. I tried numerous times to contact Geico, to verify that I was covered or to be covered. Hours spent calling and a web site that kept returning "oops error has occurred, please try later" ensured no communication. I then assumed my current policy would cover the vehicles, as rental cars were covered. Forchantly I was not involved in any accident requiring insurance, because when I decided on the vehicle to purchase, a month later and finally able to speak with a Geico agent I discovered that my policy did not cover the vehicles I had been test driving! What a shock to learn. I would of been in alot of financial trouble had I been in any accident, even if not my fault! That's a situation I never want to be in. I expect the insurance company I pay a high price to have, at least make it possible to speak with them. Considering the fact that I pay those expensive insurance payments for nothing in return. No accidents, just to say I have insurance. 80% of people pay insurance with out ever requiring the need to use it. So insurance companies bank! They should at least be available to speak with. They lost my business.
