I've been with the American Family Mutual Insurance Company for 12+ years and I'm pretty happy with them.
I had to file a claim in 1998. I thought the American family auto insurance agent and their customer service were wonderful. I didn't have any trouble dealing with them at all and they helped to make the claims process really simple for me.
American Family Insurance paid to have my car fixed and they also my paid rental car fees during the time I was without a vehicle.
I was relieved to find that my American Family insurance rate didn't change at all. You always hear stories of how people get in an accident and then their rates go up, even if the accident wasn't their own fault. I didn't have that experience and was very relieved.
I am still with American Family and have recommended them to all my friends and family. I plan to stick with them for my auto insurance needs for the indefinite future.

We tend to make complaints against insurance companies when they do us wrong, but not always take a minute to give them credit when credit is due. I applaud you for that!
I'm glad to know that the American Family Mutual Insurance Company treated you right over the years and earned your respect. Since you've been a loyal customer, why not ask for a loyalty discount the next time your policy is up for renewal? You are very likely to get it!
Insurance companies are keen to hang onto their longtime customers, particularly with all the competition and advertising for lower rates by their competitors. If they are smart, they'd be wise to offer their loyal customers a discount "reward" as an incentive to remain with them in spite of the temptation to seek lower rates elsewhere. ;)Safe driving!
