If you're looking for Aetna auto insurance, you're going to run into a little trouble!
Aetna is pretty well known as one of the big boys in the health industry these days.
But, you might be thinking to yourself, "I could have sworn that Aetna had car insurance, too." And you would have been right - several years ago. ;)
Although the Aetna Insurance Company started out as a life insurance company, it progressed over the decades to the point it was offering a number of different insurance products, car insurance included.
In fact, Aetna auto insurance was available as far back as 1907!
Eventually, the automobile insurance section of the company was named Aetna Casualty and Surety, but the name changed again in 1967 to Aetna Life & Casualty. But we're not done yet!
In 1996, Aetna sold their property and casualty side of the business to Travelers Insurance Group, which meant "goodbye Aetna auto insurance" in the process.
Of course, the company had to rebrand again, this time simply as Aetna Inc. They should have thought of that in the first place, eh? :)
These days Aetna pretty much sticks to the health care industry. They have a very long history with a number of ups and downs over more than a century and a half of business.
I only gave you the highlights that affected the Aetna car insurance side of things. Regardless of their somewhat roller-coaster ride history, they've managed to always come out on top.
I suspect that says a lot for Aetna, and they might be worth considering if you are having to make some decisions regarding your health care providers, but they aren't going to be much use to you if you are looking for Aetna auto insurance quotes!
Don't worry. There are plenty of other fish in the sea - or in this case, sharks in the waters! Ha! I couldn't resist that one. ;)
I know it does seem at times that dealing with car insurance companies is like swimming in shark infested waters, but it doesn't have to be that bad. Just be bold and take matters into your own hands.
I've discovered that most people are pretty darn lazy when it comes to buying car insurance. I'm not sure if they think the process is just too difficult or if they just don't realize the amount of money they can save if they shop around.
The old saying, "a penny saved is a penny earned," is one that is dear to my heart. I don't like to pay more than I have to for ANYTHING, and auto insurance is no exception.
Here are the places I go to in order to compare prices (for FREE!) and choose my car insurance provider for the coming year. Yes! It does pay to check every single year. Trust me on this....
It really is a fairly simple process and not as time consuming as you might think if you just grab your details and sit down and do it. The money saved could literally be hundreds of dollars!
Okay, fine! I couldn't do anything about helping you get Aetna car insurance, but I hope you'll discover that I've done you one better. Let me know how much money you saved. ;)
