USAA Insurance

Dream Car For Young USAA Insured Driver?

Dream Car For Young USAA Insured Driver?

I am in college and purchased my first car this past summer. I did some comparison shopping for insurance, but on my parents' recommendation chose USAA Insurance Company.

So far they have been perfect. The USAA Customer Service is excellent (for example, I contacted them to find out how to get additional wallet cards and the wait time was short, the representative was very courteous, and the information was promptly e-mailed to me.)

I've not had to file a USAA claim yet, thankfully, but my parents assure me that it will be the least painful part of the process.

Hey Phil,

Thanks for your review of USAA Insurance company. It sounds like you got some pretty sound advice from your parents.

I hope you can still say that you haven't had to file a claim with USAA yet. ;) (I know it's been a while since you sent in your review).

You mentioned that you did some shopping around before you took your parents advice to go with USAA Casualty. How did the prices compare?

A young man of your age would naturally have higher premiums, but it would be interesting to note whether you got a better rate with your USAA insurance quote than you did with the other companies you interviewed.

Is your father or mother a veteran or active service member? USAA is kind of like a private insurance club. :) As far as I know, they still only insure people who are in the military or are related to someone who is in the military or served previously in one of the US Armed Forces.

USAA has a pretty good reputation and catering to a specific clientele makes them a bit more unique in their exclusivity.

Too bad you didn't upload a photo of your first car! We'd have enjoyed seeing it. Instead, I added a photo of a car I bet you'd love to own. :) Maybe one day!

Hope this next year of college goes well for you.

Safe Driving!
Angie
