Travelers Insurance

by Andrew C
(Paoli, PA, USA)

My current car insurance company is Travelers Insurance. I have been with Traveler's for about a year and a half.

In this relatively short period of time I have already had to utilize their services once. I called them to file a claim after a minor accident that occurred on my way home from work.

The two Traveler's customer service agents who I spoke to were very friendly and knowledgeable. The only problems with the entire claim came when I had to work with the other driver's insurance company (GMAC).

I have recently discovered that my insurance rates have gone up for the upcoming six month period.

Upon finding this out I called my insurance agent to see if he knew the reason for the increase. Apparently, Traveler's has raised all of their insurance rates.

My agent told me that he is really no longer selling Traveler's to most customers because of this increase.

I plan to stay with the Travelers Insurance Company because of their excellent customer service and because the rate increase is minimal, but I'm not sure I would recommend the company to others.

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for that review on Travelers car insurance. I'm glad your accident was only "minor" and that you didn't have trouble with your claim.

It's a shame about the rate rise. You'd think the insurance companies would be lowering their rates these days instead of raising them when everyone is feeling the economic pinch.

People are much more likely to shop around and find the cheapest insurance rates when money is tighter.

All the best for your continued safety on the roads!
