I've been a Customer of Motors Insurance Corporation since 2003.



Due to my financial problems and situation, I need to ask them a favor to change the withdrawal to my account but I am only allowed to ask once a week.


I've been out of work since last November 2009 and presently am on disability due to my sickness.


Last February I stop my commitment with them for a reason to charge me for NSF (not sufficient funds) but actually that was not the right thing to do.


The money is enough in my account, but just because I deposited through Green Machine that's why the fund was on hold. Positive the money won't come back and only need to clear.


So, now they put on my record cancellation for non payment. And God knows that's the truth about what happened.

Sorry to hear of the hard time you've been having financially, with your health, and also with your insurance company. Sometimes it can be pretty discouraging when everything seems to be going wrong.


I hope you'll have some good things to happen that can cheer and encourage you to balance out the negatives you've been dealing with.


If I understand your situation, you made a deposit into your account that hadn't cleared before the automatic withdrawal was attempted by your insurer, the Motors Insurance Corporation. As a consequence, they cancelled your insurance policy.


I hate when that happens! That's one of the reasons I try to avoid direct debits (automatic withdrawals) because I'm always afraid something like that will occur and mess me up. I know the service can be a real convenience for most people, but when you don't carry a large balance in your account (like many of us these days), it can come back to bite you as it has in your case.


Have you tried contacting the Motors Insurance Corporation directly and explaining the situation to them? If you've been a customer for nearly 9 years, you'd think that they'd have the courtesy to sort this out for you and keep your business.


Well, if that doesn't work, head over to Kanetix Canada and fill out their free quote form. You may end up getting a nice surprise and finding a new insurance company that will actually be cheaper in the long run. That's one way of turning your lemons into lemonade! :)
