I put in a loss of income claim with Geico and 40 days have gone by and no check.

Have you made an inquiry with your Geico agent directly? What kind of time line did they quote to you?


Some insurance companies will play around as long as they can before paying out on their policies. It's ridiculous!


I've been fortunate to deal with a couple that paid quickly, but the claims were fairly small in the grand scheme of things - perhaps that's why. ;)


I'd call again about your loss of income claim with Geico, and I'd keep calling repeatedly, every few days until you finally get the matter resolved.


Sometimes it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease!
