The Liberty Mutual Claims process is simple and straightforward.
They provide a step-by-step, easy to follow outline on their website that takes you through the claims process.
It all starts by encouraging you to contact a Liberty Mutual customer service representative or agent to let them know you've been in an accident. The sooner you do this, the better, so here's the number 1-800-225-2467 .
You'll be asked for all the details of the accident, so be sure that you have everything close at hand when you make the call.
The Liberty Mutual agent will give you a claims number which you'll then be able to use to track your claim online and keep up-to-date on the progress of your settlement through your account on the Liberty Mutual website.
One of the first steps in getting your claim processed is to have your vehicle inspected by an insurance claims adjuster.
Depending on your location and the amount of damage, Liberty Mutual will either send out one of their approved adjusters or have you take the vehicle to a repair facility for an estimate or an appraisal.
If you've got rental coverage (which is quite handy and only a few dollars extra per month), the agent will also organize a rental car for you so you won't be stranded while your vehicle is out of commission.
If necessary, towing services will be discussed and arranged at this time as well. Every accident and claim is different, so your situation will be handled based on your particular needs and the amount of coverage you have in place.
Something else you'll need to discuss with the Liberty Mutual customer service rep is how your claim will be paid. Do you want it paid directly to the repair shop, or directly to you.
If your car is salvageable and you are having it repaired, there is a distinct advantage of having your car repaired at one of the Total Liberty Care Facilities.
If there is one in your area, take advantage of it. Your repairs will have a lifetime warranty, which is not to be sneezed at!
Frankly, I was pretty impressed with the easy to follow advice on the Liberty Mutual website, but I've never personally used the Liberty Mutual Claims process. Have you?
If so, I'd love to get your own personal Liberty Mutual Review. Take a few minutes and report on their success or failure!
