HUK Coburg Insurance

I have had HUK Coburg Insurance for my car insurance for the past four years.


While I have not needed to file a claim with HUK Coburg in this time period (knock on wood), I am pleased with my policy because the price is so good.


It is also very flexible, and the HUK Coberg staff have been very helpful in assisting to assess my exact needs.


I intend to stay with AAA and HUK Coburg. I have already recommended it to others and will continue to do so.

Thanks for the review of HUK Coburg Insurance in Germany. It's great to have auto insurance reviews from companies outside of the US, since we have so many international visitors to this site.


I wasn't familiar with this company, but I did a little looking and they do seem to have a pretty good reputation and are quite popular in Germany.


In fact, I recently read an article discussing how HUK Coburg overtook Allianz to become the top insurer in Germany in 2010. As it usually does, it all came down to price wars! :)


What I found exceptionally interesting and unusual was the claim the author of the article made that stated that this insurance company supposedly paid more out in claims than they received in premium payments!


Shocking, really, for an insurance company, but apparently the harsh winter resulted in a high number of accidents and resulting claims being filed.


Not to worry. It also looks like they have their fingers in several different pies. :-) I don't think they will be going broke any time soon.


Having said all that, I'm pleased to hear that...

1. You haven't had any accidents (good for you).
   
2. You've received friendly and efficient customer service.

I hope that trend continues for you for many years to come.
