Geico Sucks
by Unhappy Motorist
Geico SUCKS! I have consistently tried to contact them regarding an accident on 03 June 2011 and as of 21 June 2011 I am still waiting for them to contact me.
I have called the adjuster and her supervisor and continue to receive a bunch of BS.
This company lacks any form of professionalism and should have a cease and desist order placed upon them company-wide!
Dear Unhappy Motorist,
I hear what you're saying. Apart from cute and clever commercials, it seems like Geico doesn't have much to offer.
I honestly don't know how they get away with such shoddy business practices. If we tried something like that, we'd be out of business and possibly put in jail in no time at all.
I used to think Geico was a government owned insurance company because the name actually stands for Government Employees Insurance Company. With that assumption, I wasn't surprised that the complaints were so high and the service so poor. Need I say more?
However, it turns out that Geico is NOT government owned but a private sector insurer, which really astounds me further that they can get away with cheating people out of fair compensation.
If I were you, I'd just keep hounding them until you get heard. Contact the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Complaints organizations in your state, and continue to share your experiences with friends and relatives and in forums online like this one.
Until Geico loses enough customers and feels the pinch in their wallet, I think it is highly unlikely that any changes will be made in how they handle customer claims.
When they are making over 9 billion dollars a year, I guess they think they don't have to be fair.
Hope you get it sorted out.
Safe Driving!
