My Farmer's Insurance Review

I've been with Farmers Insurance since 1996. We just recently had a claim when my husband was in a car accident caused by someone else.


We were treated very well by the Farmers insurance agents, and had all of our expenses covered without any trouble.


Farmers even worked to get our deductible back for us from the other driver's insurance company.


Obviously, I've been happy enough with the company that I've stayed with them for over 10 years. I can recommend Farmers Ins. to others who are considering them for their car insurance company.

Thanks for the Farmers Insurance Review. Glad to hear you've had a good experience.


It can be tricky sometimes when you have to deal with a third party company when you are in an accident that wasn't your fault.


If you've got comprehensive and collision coverage, your own insurance will kick in if worse comes to worse. But, if you've only got liability coverage and the other company refuses to pay, you can be stuck fighting it out in court (or giving up entirely).


Some companies are notorious for trying to evade paying out on claims and this can cause a lot of stress and anxiety (not to mention financial hardship) on the injured party.


My father had an accident last year that wasn't his fault at all. It was touch and go for a while as to whether the other company was going to pay up or not. His carrier went ahead and paid him the deductible as well as the damages and then chased the money up from the other company for him. His company technically didn't have to pay the deductible, but they did.


That was a relief, of course, to my parents since they are on a very tight income. I'm pretty sure they are with Progressive Insurance.


Anyway, thanks for taking a moment to give a plug for Farmers. I hope you have continued success with them and no more car accidents. ;)
