ESURANCE!!!!!!

by Wendy C
(New York)

Hello All,

Here is the honest truth about Esurance. This company will give you the run around and never give you a reason for what they say.

They have alot or repeating they do no matter how nice or angry you speak with them.

I called in behalf of my father, for whom does not speak english to speak to a representative regarding his policy. They would not let me speak for him without his permission, however he does not speak english. So esurance was no help.

My father does not know how to use internet, so i gave them my email address to send me information.
I pay with my CC online to also help him as well.
Now, according to all these factors Esurance is assuming that I also drive the vehicle and have canceled my fathers policy until I'm added.

I do not own a vehicle, my license is suspended, and i don't live with my father, I have my own residence.

After explaining this to them, they simply said "you have to show proof of your own insurance or be added to your fathers or we will not sell him insurance"

Mind you hes been with the company for 3 years and all of a sudden this problem comes up.
I asked them to send me the paper work that states that they are allowed to stop someone policy until everyone that is "related" gets added on or shows proof of insurance.

Why would I get my own insurance when I don't add a vehicle? Why would I need to drive his car when I don't live near them at all?

Why cant someone in that company just help me find a solution to keep my dad as a customer?

This company is the worst and I truly hope they go under.

Hi Wendy,

So sorry to hear that you have had some difficulty with Esurance. They are usually quite good from what I have heard.

I help my own father take care of some of his business, so I know how frustrating it can be to get people to speak to you on his behalf. Most companies have very similar policies.

I wonder if you could just ask them to reinstate his policy with an exclusion stating that YOU will not be a covered driver. That way they don't have to worry about whether or not you are his daughter or are living with him or not.

I'd try asking to speak with someone new also. ;) I hope you can get it sorted out.

Kindest regards,
Angie
