American Family Insurance Group

I've had a great experience with the American Family Insurance Group, and I'm very happy to share it with others who may be thinking about using AFI for their own auto insurance needs.


First of all, I am a really careful driver, so since I have had American Family auto insurance (8 years at the time of this writing), I have filed only one claim.


A year or so ago, I was renting a car and driving it, while my husband was following me from behind in our truck. Believe it or not, he ended up rear-ending me (not from a high speed--he really does love me) which didn't do any discernible damage to the truck but put a hole in the rental car's bumper.


I reported the accident to the rental car folks and also to my American Family Insurance agents. I do have a deductible on my car insurance, but I have to report that I did not pay out a single penny on this accident!


Further, my rates actually went down the next year. American Family Insurance took complete care of the whole situation which was not only a financial relief but a psychological one, too.


As you can imagine, I'm pretty happy to continue using American Family as my car insurance provider. When you get this type of service, why wouldn't you?

Thanks for the great review for the American Family Insurance Group! What a blessing that they took all of the worry out of that unusual car accident experience for you.


I have to say, I just couldn't help giggling when I read your review. Aren't you SO glad that it was your hubby who hit you and not the other way around? :) I sure would have been! Of course, I'm so glad neither of you were hurt in the process, so it makes for a great story.


It's good to hear that AFI handled your accident in such a fantastic manner. They deserve some congratulations for that and for not making excuses to raise your rates.
