What's the scoop with Allstate roadside assistance?
Do you have to have Allstate auto insurance to take advantage of their roadside assistance plans?
Most definitely not! The program is actually called the Allstate Motor Club and you can become a member even if you purchase your car insurance with a different company.
Allstate has a range of roadside assistance plans for you to choose from depending on your needs and your usual travel habits.
You may feel you only need the "basics" and if that's the case, they have an extremely affordable roadside assistance plan that's only $52.00 per year (at the time of this writing).
Allstate roadside assistance doesn't skimp on the basics, either.
Their basic plan is called the Allstate Roadside Advantage and it offers the usual roadside assistance services like towing, lock-out service, fuel delivery, and tire changing service.
If you find yourself stranded somewhere and need a roadside assistant to come to your rescue, you can call on them 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
But there's more!
You might be surprised to learn that this program also includes reimbursement for trip interruption if you're in an accident more than 100 miles from home and your car is no longer safe to drive. You may need to pay for a few meals and accommodation that you weren't expecting. You can claim that back from your Allstate roadside assistance program with certain limitations.
Not only that, they also include an arrest bond certificate in case you happen to get pulled over and find yourself in hot water with the police (shame on you!). :) This little extra service may save you having your license seized.
Not bad, is it?! I don't like wasting money at all, but I do feel that being a member of something like the Allstate Motor Club or the Good Sam Club is money well spent.
Apart from their basic Roadside Advantage service, the Allstate Motor Club offers more extensive roadside assistance plans if you want more coverage with higher limits available to you.
You can consider their Deluxe Plan, their Platinum Elite plan, or if you're an avid RVer, you can take advantage of the RV Roadhelp Plan.
Allstate Motor Club Trip Panning And Travel Services:
With these plans you also get access to Allstate motor club trip planning to help you organize the best route to your desired destination. This service really comes in handy when you're headed someplace new.
Like with most roadside assistance programs, simply being a member makes you eligible for discounts on car rentals, hotels, restaurants, and some of the popular tourist attractions.
It's really easy to get your membership investment back when you become part of a good quality auto club. Fingers crossed you don't need most of the emergency services, but even one call-out for help will leave you with more money in your pocket than if you weren't a member of Allstate Roadside Assistance.
