My agent recently sent out a notice saying he was moving in with another agent across town. I have constantly tried to reach him but have not been able to talk to him. The reason for me calling him was due to a survey sent to me concerning my Homeowners Insurance. Allstate wanted to know who my alarm service was with, and proof my home was insured, or my rates would go up. I submitted the info, and then my rate was increased appx. $75.00 per year. I then received a survey asking me how many vehicles I owned, who drives them, the age of the drivers, how far I drive to work, the purpose of the other vehicles, and an estimate of miles to be placed on the vehicles for the upcoming year. I have submitted that info as well, and I'm sure my coverage will also increase on my autos. The first time I called my new agent she stated the old agent was on vacation. Appx. two weeks later I called again and was told that my old agent had moved in with her office, and stated he would be working appx 3 days a week, then 2 days a week, and to be honest, she hardly ever sees him. I asked about my homeowners insurance and mentioned to her about the survey on my auto insurance, and she stated that my rates were so low, and my deductible was so low, that my account needed to be checked. I feel that my old agent has retired, and has referred his business to this new Office Park Circle Allstate Office, far from the Homewood Office he used to have. This is not fair at all!! After over 31 years with Allstate Insurance Co. coverage, I feel my rate should continue, without an increase, because someone probably new in the business wants to get rich quick, on a good customer's account. I still haven't heard from my old agent of over 31 years, and probably won't, but that's fine, cause I'm through with Allstate, and my family and friends are considering the same! |
